Recent Reviews
I've been writing some reviews in my free time lately since the Jurotrip.
Check out my review of the Third Watch Season 2 DVDs at Chud.com
and the extremely Judeo-centric new Coen Brothers film, 'A Serious Man' write up that I did for frumsatire.net.

Continued Research
Haven't posted in a while but I have been doing a ton of research into where to go next and what to pursue. With Jews in every corner of the globe, and a history that ties us to just about every country, it's hard to decide "what next?"
I highly recommend a book by Allan Levine called "Scattered Among The Peoples" for anyone (like me) who is interested in a brief rundown of Jews from Spain to the USA and every point in between from 1492 to 1967.
Also, for a laugh, check out this site for the Kosher restaurant in Japan, which has sushi "coming soon".
Look for more updates soon on more developments of the next Jurotrip.

Community in Corfu
In the courtyard behind the Synagogue of Corfu, Greece:
(above) A shulchan (table) where bodies would be ritually purified for burial.
The walled up doorway in the background is the former entrance to the mikvah (ritual bath) for the community. The mikvah is no longer in operation.
(below) The bombed out remnants of the school behind the Synagogue. Until WWII, the building was a thriving Jewish school for the community.
