Judaism in Corinth

You will notice a distinct lack of Jewish content in Episode Six - Navplion, Greece.

While there has been a Jewish presence in Greece for Millennia, predominantly the Romaniote Jews, on this particular day we only visited one location that had any Jewish history to it.

The Jews of Corinth are long gone, wiped out or moved to other communities. This picture represents the only record of their existence I came upon in my time there.

For ancient Jews, the symbol of the Menorah (candelabra) and lulav (palm branch) with etrog (citrus) were what we would today equate with the "star of David".
